nisai nisai

Meet a stranger.
In daylight. On purpose.

No swiping through hundreds of faces. No guessing which bar is safe at midnight. Match with someone, and we already know where you're meeting: a real cafe, full of people, before the sun goes down.

The apps got this backwards

Endless matching. Great texting. Dates that never happen. Sound familiar?

Dating apps are built to keep you swiping, not to get you to a table. You judge a photo before you've met the person behind it. You pick the venue, the time, and the risk on your own. And if the person who shows up isn't who the profile promised, you're already there, dealing with that too.

Nisai works the other way. We pick the place. You just have to show up.

How it actually works

Pick a block. Wait to be picked back.

Nisai is a board of a thousand-plus blocks — no bios, no swiping, just open spots waiting to be filled.

01Pick a block. Sit and wait, or land on someone already waiting.
02Get matched. No browsing, no bios, no back-and-forth. Just a match.
03Show up. We tell you where and when. That's the whole plan.
Grey — empty, nobody's here yet
Lime — someone's already waiting
Heart — matched, a date is on
The part that matters most

A public place. Broad daylight. Every single time.

Blind dating sounds risky. So we built Nisai backwards from that fear — every rule below exists because someone asked "but what if."

Verified before you're visible
Each profile is verified with a selfie and a video selfie, ensuring the person is real.
We pick the venue, not you
Always a real cafe. Always public, always busy, always before dark.
Checked in from hello to goodbye
Tap when you arrive, when you meet them, and when you leave — so it's always on record that you're okay.
Tell someone, in one tap
Share your venue and time with a friend before you leave the house.
Leave whenever you want
No explanation owed. Not to us, not to them.
Safety report
Send a report about your date, during it or after — whenever something feels off.
A block is claimed.
A match made.
The place is revealed.
The time is revealed.
Who it is stays hidden.
That's the point.
Why we hide the photo

Curiosity gets you there. The conversation decides the rest.

You don't see a face before you match, and you don't see a bio before you sit down. Not because we're precious about mystery — because it's the only way to stop someone from swiping past a person they'd have actually liked. What's left to judge is the hour you spend with them, not the ten seconds it takes to judge a photo.

Who's building this

A small group of engineers, with a lot of support from family and friends.

Nisai is self-funded and built by a small, focused team. No growth targets to hit, no engagement metrics to optimize — just one product decision, made once, and built around properly: get people to a real table, safely, on the first try.
